Question
Another $$500K for consultants to study and recommend how to develop the $12mil inaccessible 102 acre lot.........What was the purpose of ALL the previous community surveys and consultant's reports?? Can anyone tell me what the current costs are to maintain this standing committee of city staff and any consultants? Can you project approximately how much it's going to cost to continue this each year??
IT WILL BE AT LEAST 4 YEARS BEFORE ANY DEVELOPMENT IS STARTED ON THE SITE........
THAT $12 MILLION COULD HAVE BEEN USED TO FIX SOME OF OUR BUSTED STREETS AND ROADS, AND IMPROVING AND DEVELOPING SOME OF OUR MANY VACANT LOTS........
How Much Is the City paying consultants and staff salaries to maintain 102 acre committee each year? What was the purpose of ALL the previous community surveys and consultant's reports??..

Suggestion
Muti level housing would help maximize the usage of the 102 acres, because when the streets , and infrastructure are put in, realistic there will not be a 102 acres, with that being said, I would like to see vertical curbing for pedestrian safety, when the streets are put in.
Suggestion
I would like to see some type of financial establishment such as a banking facility included in the process
Suggestion
Apartment complexes that are high rises, and where the bottom floor can be businesses like eateries and coffee places (like some of the apartments/businesses on R street).
Suggestion
Affordable housing under strict rent control would be great. Promotion of tenant's unions as well.
Suggestion
I really like the idea of a community land trust, housing co-ops, and some type of social housing - ultimately something under community control instead of private corporate landlords. Partnering up with the Sacramento Land Trust folks would be pretty cool!
Suggestion
This is the best news for the day, I am interested in taking part of this opportunity.
Question
The site is currently a wasteland with the only development being remains of an old test track from the CHP. Could some effort towards rehabilitation of natural resources such as planting trees be done immediately to enhance its value and contribute to future development?
